The Drawing Board is a team of architecture students from SAUL, the School of Architecture at the University of Limerick. They were asked to contribute to the Table of Contents exhibition. The exhibition curators from LSAD, the Limerick School of Art and Design, are looking for an indoor installation to facilitate the viewing of a short documentary film. The conception and design of this installation will become part of the exhibition as an exemplar of architectural creativity.

Do the donkeys need to be stabled or should they be free to roam?
ReplyDeleteShould the film be viewed at defined times, in a defined space?
Would the donkeys be content in the octagonal room?
Are we searching for something that is looking us in the eye?
And one more thing:-
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about red velvet curtains, posters, neon signs, reviews, forthcoming attractions; and all the different elements that make cinema and the darkened space such a seductive environment.
Hi Peter,
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, we left the donkeys unstabled last night and when we returned to the drawing board this morning... they had wandered off out of view. Maybe, if they are a force in this design, they will return of their own volition...
